HTML ColorPicker is a small utility that is used in writing HTML files, more specifically Netscape 1.1N enhanced HTML. If you don't know what HTML or Netscape is, please take a trip by your local library or the nearest computer bookstore. Did you ever notice that when you set the foreground or background colors in Netscape that you never get the exact color you want? Well, wait no more! This frustrating problem can and has been solved! Meet HTML ColorPicker, currently in its second version. This utility lets you play around with colors, using either the standard color dialog box or internal fields. HTML ColorPicker will then change the information given into Hex. Other features make HTML ColorPicker easy to use! See the next section!
Directions for use:
Using HTML ColorPicker is very easy. You can either type in the decimal or hex numbers for your color, or you can use the color picker dialog box to get your color. After getting the color(s), you can copy the hex to the clipboard. (It saves everything you need, pound sign included. i.e. "#00FF0F".) All you need to do is paste in the HTML document you are working in. HTML ColorPicker is also useful for seeing what color is in a document by typing the hex code in in the hex mode. The easy what-you-see is what-you-get is another good reason to use HTML ColorPicker. You can work quickly and eficiently, having HTML ColorPicker in the background for when you need it.
Command Key Equivalents:
HTML ColorPicker makes it really easy to use the keyboard with it. Just use some of these command-key equivalents to speed up you working.
Command-I: Changes the Input Mode from Decimal to Hex and
vice versa.
Command-C: Copies the hex value of the current color.
Command-P: Brings up the color picker dialog box.
Command-A: Brings up the "About HTML ColorPicker" dialog box.
Command-Q: Quits HTML ColorPicker.
Command-V (in a future release): Pastes either a numeric or
hex value into the current selected field, or in
the case of a color ("#xxxxxx") pastes the entire
color in. Look for HTML ColorPicker 2.1 soon!

Although HTML ColorPicker is shareware, it is still copyrighted. You may not distribute HTML ColorPicker on any mass media such as CD-ROMs without express permission from the author. Known bugs:
As with any other programming projects, there are always bugs that manage to hide away for about forever. Right now, there is only one minor one: HTML ColorPicker will let you leave the input texts blank. If you delete the contents of a field, then click on a different field, HTML Color Picker leaves the field empty. It should default to zero. Internally, it's fine; it does default to zero. A minor display thing.
